Victor Palencia is one of the youngest winemakers established on the Washington wine scene. Born in Mexico, he immigrated to the US with his family when he was two years old. His parents started working in the vineyards as manual laborers, and Victor grew up around wine during his childhood going on to become one of the first Mexican winemakers in the US. Amanda Barnes interviews him about why he chose to make wine in Washington, how he thinks the wines of the region are changing and on his perspective on the changing role of Mexican families in the wine industry in the US.
