Cooking the quintessential Argentine asado (BBQ) & wine pairings

by Amanda Barnes

Argentina is famous for its asado (BBQ), and in particular its steak… Mendoza and the Uco Valley are home of great Malbec and succulent steak. We head to the parilla (grill) of Casa de Uco in the heart of the wine region to salivate as chef Charlie Torres cooks up an Argentine feast, giving you all the ingredients, techniques and the ultimate Argentina asado recipe.

Casa de Uco sommelier Juan Pablo Nievas gives us a wine pairing with some spectacular local wines to give us the full flavour of Argentina!

My mouth is watering almost as much as theirs! This makes me very hungry… Also makes me excited to visit Mendoza in this fall. Adding this restaurant to my list!
