Australasia

by Amanda Barnes

Australia is one of the world’s oldest terrains, with a big impact in the New World of wine. New Zealand has pioneered the way in two of the world’s most important varieties, but it is much more than just Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. And as for Tasmania… it has devilish bubbly and more! Join us as we discover the other side of the world early 2017.

  • Tasmania
  • New Zealand

Hi Amanda,
I’m enjoying watching your interviews (Jancis: SCORE!!) and love your #80harvests vision. I’m to-ing and fro-ing on whether to fly down to Lodi for this conference and as I cruised the participant list I discovered your blog. I passed my CMS cert sommelier last year and to reward myself, travelled to New Zealand to work the harvest and check out the vintage. My day job is running a kids’ social impact media centre in Toronto but my hope is to retire (I’m 58….gads that sounds old) and reinvent myself as a wine blogger. I’m still learning “the blogging thing” but am reaching out to see if there’s potential connective tissue.
Your content is fantastic and your brand, very professional. Congrats and I hope we can meet if I can make it work!!
cheers!
